Hi,
I don't usually post in here but i could do with some advice from you lovely ladies as to the following situation.
My DD likes to watch Playhouse Disney because there are no adverts in between shows, they have "fillers" instead that advertise upcoming programmes.
There are 3 adverts that are getting on my nerves because of mispronounciation of names and words, so i need to ask if i should make a complaint to Playhouse Disney or just leave it and grate my teeth everytime i hear them.
- At the beginning of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey asks you to say his magic words with him. They are "Meeska, Mouska, Mickey Mouse". On the Filler advert the narrator says "Mheeshka, Mhoushka", which sounds awful.
- On an advert for Animal Mechanicals the narrator pronouces "sasquatch" as "sasquash" , like you pronounce "orange squash".
and Lastly on another advert for Animal Mechanicals the narrator pronounces "Komodo" so terribly wrong it isn't funny. I can't quite describe the pronounciation, the only picture i get in my head when she say it is someone trying to say a word in another language but keeping their own accent. You have to hear it to understand.
Now am i being silly over these or do you think that they really should be corrected.
Oh, and i know there will probably spelling or grammatical errors in this but i don't claim to be perfect .
Many Thanks
