I just noticed this evening. On a T-shirt bought from a well-known store ( I know, it's bad, child exploitation and all...)

'Colin the caterpiller'

Don't designers have proofreaders?

It matters. This is why literacy rates are so poor. And my son was wearing it.

While I feel your pain, I am almost more depressed by the fact that children's characters always but ALWAYS have to alliterate...

Why can't it be Henry the Caterpillar?

Yes. That is bad too. They're being patronised, those 4 year olds, as well as, um, forced to wear misspelt T-shirts.

When I was at school (a long, long time ago) a friend was really proud of a T-shirt with "No problem!" written on it in scrawlly letters. He'd been wearing it for ages before we pointed out it actually said "No porblem!".

He hadn't noticed...
