T-shirt in Mothercare.

(even worse it was "Mummy and me {heart} to shop)

Hopefully it was deliberate because it's 'cute'.

Tommy · 10/12/2008 22:36

OMG

[rolling eyes emoticon]

Why can't they just get someone to check these things???

MrsSeanBean · 12/12/2008 14:45

That would be because the checkers are none the wiser.

RamblingRosa · 15/12/2008 10:02

They really should get people to check these things shouldn't they?
Let me guess, was said t-shirt pink?

AndATigerschickInAPearTree · 15/12/2008 10:05

Reminds me of the bib in M&S a couple of years ago with the extra ' ... Mummy's dreaming of a quiet Christmas just like the one's she used to know.

(To my shame I had one and put DD in it even after I noticed the error But I didn't buy it )

RamblingRosa · 15/12/2008 10:54

I saw a t-shirt in Sainsbury's saying "WAG in waiting". It was in the 3-9 year age range or something like that.

Grammatically correct but totally wrong and icky IMO! Just wanted to share that....

BarcodeZebra · 16/12/2008 22:43

But me does love to shop...

pluckyyuletideducky · 18/12/2008 09:52

I was given a bib which had 'my mummy love's me' emblazoned on it.

I do the dusting with it.

cornsilk · 18/12/2008 09:55

But don't you hate it when people say ' My friend and I ...' in general conversation? It just sounds so formal.

TreeandMistleJoe · 18/12/2008 10:01

i always say 'my friend and i' corn

MrsBadger · 18/12/2008 10:08

Agree 'My friend and I went shopping' does sound quite formal, but that's no excuse for using 'My friend and me went shopping', which is just wrong.

'I went shopping with my friend'
'I met my friend and we went shopping'
'My friend took me shopping'
'I took my friend shopping'
'We went shopping'

cornsilk · 18/12/2008 10:09

Sorry Tree!!!
It just grates on me - don't know why!

TreeandMistleJoe · 18/12/2008 10:33

oooo well i will remember to 'dumb it down' for you in future corn lol . funny you said it sounds formal cos actually i think you are right, i am going to make a conscious effort to speak incorrectly today and see if it grows on me!

pluckyyuletideducky · 18/12/2008 10:39

Why not be a real rebel and write all your messages on mn in txt spk 2?

wasabipeanut · 18/12/2008 10:47

Regardless of the grammar it's still a horrid message.

Tbh, I'd be hard pushed to find a slogan t shirt that I actually liked.

As for "WAG in waiting"
