Well, "stalking" goes with "lairs"... but then you only "stalk" things, not "stalk up on" them. And I definitely don't like "noveling"... Is this meant to be a website for writers?

Yes . If you read it in an American accent it seems more like a misspelling.

Yes, you can imagine Loyd Grosman pronouncing it "stalking up"...
