Should I be teaching my child to say 'too' or 'also'?

depends what the rest of the sentence is!

TigerFeet · 14/10/2008 11:57

"as well"

Too only at the end of a sentence or clause. Also is more flexible.

Tiger - I meant 'as well'!

What would be the examples of that Bucharest?

I will give you some examples of what she is saying, which of course she gets from us, most likely incorrectly

'Can I have some too' (she is only 2, so sentence structure not quite there yet!).

'I want to do it too'

Thank you

That's quite a good explanation of the differences/similarities.

As well - I'd say this was a synonym of "too" and also needs to go at the end. It's not as formal as too/also.
