Allowable misspellings

Had a birthday card today written by DD (8). It says, in two places, 'your grate' (ie, you're great). Now normally, in any other context, I'd be very annoyed at that, but it just made my heart melt . Do I need to resign from Pedants' corner?

er, shouldn't that read 'permissable misspellings'?

8 year olds are exempt from judgements by pedants, IMO. Particularly when they do something so sweet
