Spotted in a cheapo bookshop the other day. Professionally printed on the front cover.

Rampant apostrophe abuse is now so common that it's almost outnumbering the correct instances...

I had a bloke from the HSBC came to me the other day trying to flog us some company health plan thing. Sent him packing having picked out some typos in the brochure

They just don't care, do they? Why does nobody seem to realise that poor spelling, punctuation and grammar in official documents and products - especially in sales literature - is like poor dental hygiene or B.O.?

It was riduculous, like we're going to invest hard-earned money in a company that won't fork out for decent proof-reading. Or even bother to run a spell check. Just found this 'pedants' corner' section and I don't feel like such a freak anymore
