The company is Greggs plc, so surely it should be Greggs without the apostrophe?

pippibluestocking · 29/09/2008 15:43

I would say Greggs since it does not belong to Greggs, it is produced by them!

TigerFeet · 29/09/2008 15:44

Could it perhaps be Gregg's Sausage Rolls?

FabioAsGoodAsItGets · 29/09/2008 15:45

They are Greggs on their website.

So it should be Greggs's.
But it could be Greggs if you're using it as an adjective.
cf I love a Waitrose sausage roll.

BitOfFun · 29/09/2008 15:45

Yes, it's like saying a Next cardigan, or a Boden skirt etc. It is not the sausage roll of Greggs.

Carmenere · 29/09/2008 15:45

Have they decided to advertise here then? Have they been wondering why there seems to be 7zillion hits on google for mn when they search

FabioAsGoodAsItGets · 29/09/2008 15:47

I want a free sample.
Do they also do cakes?

Carmenere · 29/09/2008 15:50

I'd imagine that you are familiar with them already Fabio they fill them with cat fud

FabioAsGoodAsItGets · 29/09/2008 16:06

lol, allegedly.

If you do google for greggs sausage rolls, this discussion is on the first page....

From their website: "The latest addition to our range is Greggs Healthier Options"
No apostrophe.
Presumably they would know....

Because of Carmenere's comment - and because I wanted to see whether the company put an apostrophe in.
