I just get League of Gentlemen."We are Legs Akimbo theatre group" If ever we had such visitors at school the older of us teachers always referred to them like that.

Doesn’t it just mean spread apart, probably bent at the knees?

It means like you're in a smear or internal exam position
Legs wide open knees bent
In yoga it's reclining bound angle pose

It just means legs apart/ splayed, doesn't it?
