I am fed up with seeing loose for lose, your instead of you’re, and the latest trend is to use ’s for any plurals, sorry, plural’s.

I know we are all supposed to chill out because language evolves and you know what the writer means and you are being a snob if you point it out and how do you know the writer doesn’t have dyslexia or some other processing issue, but FFS.

I agree with you. I judge too.

I don't know but memes are really outdated so maybe stressing about grammar is too. It will all be AI soon anyhow.

I recently read a post of my own that shocked me with the number of typos it had in it. How can you tell the difference between a trend and a typo?

It breaks the reading rhythm as well as changing the context. I saw ‘bare with me’ earlier, I don’t think so. And I still cringe at sentences beginning with ‘me and somebody’.

Developing words, idioms and so on for new concepts and meanings is how language evolves. However, using the wrong words like your for you're, apostrophising plurals and so on is how language degrades. We can chill out about language evolving while being furious about it degrading.
