“Proper” English

DH can’t say ‘were’. Nothing winds me up more than ‘was you ok’ or ‘was you good today’. But I’ve learnt to live with it. The only problem being - my 5yo DC is now picking this up. Ironically, English isn’t my first language but definitely is his. How on earth do I stop this disease spreading??

My ex ILS used to say ‘we was’ and ‘I were’ . 🤷‍♀️

So he should be modelling appropriately then.
