Today the Guardian used the word “Merch” in a piece about Oasis pop-up shops and it has ruined my entire day.
Merchandise!!!!!

If it’s any consolation i tried “merch” as a word in Wordle recently and it was rejected as “not a word”.

You can't be serious about "tech".

Do you still say omnibus? Perambulator? Refrigerator?

I don't mind "Tech" but "Merch" sounds like someone throwing up, especially in my northern accent!
