I feel that this is one of the few places where I can admit that I once left a WhatsApp group largely because someone wrote like that. There were other reasons, but reading her (many) posts was like nails scraping down a blackboard.

I know we can't all be 100% literate and that regional accents skew how we hear, and therefor spell, words but that's the one that irritates me the most and I see it so often.

I saw lonely behold on a thread the other day instead of lo and behold. I assume the person using the phrase had heard it but not seen it written down.
