No, they don’t. They just don’t know any better.

Oh yes,I agree that the number of people that don't know the difference between words that sound the same but have different meanings and are spelt differently is remarkable. Peak/peek is a common one,and chord/cord. And don't get me started on effect/affect....!

I never comment now on spelling mistakes or mis-use of punctuation or grammar as I get pulled up for being unfair and overly fussy. But while I'm here,I will say that my absolute pet hate is posts that have no full stops or paragraphs,just ramble on forever. I usually don't even bother trying to read these as I just end up getting frustrated and annoyed!
