This (mis)spelling makes me irrationally furious. I don't know why. So do luvli and luvly. Seen them all on Facebook, and get irrationally annoyed at them all!

One of the many reasons we should be encouraging young people to read actual books.

If you’re going to misspell this word you should go the full hog to ‘loverly’ so at least people get a nice My Fair Lady earworm.

Not irrational at all! I can't see the logic of people who spell it like that. And it's not as though it's an uncommon word so people are exposed to the correct spelling all the time! Confused

My offerings are... definately (which often then gets autocorrected to defiantly), mischievious, pronounciation and alot (and its friends abit, aswell and ofcourse).

And apart of. And aloud. I blame Girls Aloud for this one!

Someone wrote on a comment that Tom Allen shouldn't have been aloud on Comic Relief last Friday because he was terrible. Someone else wrote asking how loud he actually was and the OP was very confused!

When I see "hope this is aloud" on a Facebook group, I want to reply "No it isn't aloud, as you're typing rather than speaking".
"Thanks for excepting me" just fills me with rage.

I did have to check the spelling for the R4 ‘Thinking allowed’, but in that case it’s a good pun.

This thread has reminded me of the 2000s singles "Everytime" by Britney Spears and "Anyone of Us" by Gareth Gates. You would have thought that the £multi-billion record industry could afford proof readers, but the Oasis album "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" tells us otherwise!
