Nope

creamsnugjumper · 28/01/2025 22:04

What wrong with the tshirt?
Adventure awaits and a mermaid?

creamsnugjumper · 28/01/2025 22:05

Oh adventures awaits?

Devilsmommy · 28/01/2025 22:05

That is not correct ❌

It says ‘adventures [plural] awaits’.

It should either be: ‘adventure awaits’ or ‘adventures await’.

It's not "Adventure awaits" it's "Adventures [plural] awaits [also plural]".

Ilovegermany · 28/01/2025 22:08

It’s worse in some of the clothes shops Europe. I check everything before DP buys tops printed in English for his DC.

purpleme12 · 28/01/2025 22:08

I was seriously doubting myself because I thought how could someone do that on a t-shirt in a mainstream shop?!!

At least it doesn't have a bloody apostrophe in it!!

purpleme12 · 28/01/2025 22:11

Found this one as well in Sainsbury's!

Btw it is always T-shirt, added pedantry

'Awaits' isn't plural. It's the 3rd person singular form of the verb, which is exactly why it can't go with the plural noun 'adventures'!

purpleme12 · 28/01/2025 22:15

I don't understand how these have got through production

Thanks for the correction. I just saw the letter 's' and automatically thought 'plural'.

That's a glaring error. I wouldn't buy it.

The copy-editor for my first novel pointed out that I’d spelled it ‘T-shirt’, ‘tshirt’, and ‘t-shirt’ (28 times) over the course of 97,000 words. I had not realised that there were that many T-shirts/tshirts/t-shirts in the bloody novel, however spelled! Now no spelling of it looks at all correct to me…

purpleme12 · 09/03/2025 01:41

Another one!

They've spent Fleur incorrectly on this one! I just can't understand how these things happen!!
