I submitted a written piece of work for our village magazine, and it was published. However they replaced "some of whom" with "some of who". I can understand their correcting any incorrect grammar (although there shouldn't be any errors), but to make something incorrect when it was correct?

Unbelievable!

I put an application for promotion through to our typist once, which contained the word "foundered" (as in "ship on the rocks"). That was the word I wanted to use. She changed it to "floundered" which has a different meaning and wasn't what I wanted to say.

What's the full sentence containing "some of whom"?
