People seem to have become very confused about the above.

This morning I’ve seen ‘ key phob’ and ‘phathom it out’

Rogue speech-to-text app? Very hard to believe that a human would make this type of mistake, since human spelling errors are much more naturally in the opposite direction -- f when ph is correct.

Have you seen more instances of the confusion you describe?

I have seen "faff" written as "phaph". Not on here though. Your examples are hilarious 😂

Lots of phase for faze

They’re quite frequent on the local FB page. One of them was on MN this morning. I would expect the error to be f instead of ph too.

The 'phase' and 'faze' thing bothers me too. Two different words with very different meanings - they are not interchangeable. See also 'discreet' and 'discrete'.

I love phaph for faffGrin.

Strictly it should be phaphph. But perhaps that would be too much paphph to write.
