It annoys me every time I see it and seems to be used more and more on MN. There's no need for it when it's already clear the poster is giving their own opinion,

As in "Personally I'd prefer not to go on holiday"
'I'm not keen on the red one, personally" etc.

It's possibly used here to pre-empt a wave of 'you do you' type comments - i.e. to make it clear the poster is stating a personal preference rather than suggesting the OP or others should do likewise, or that their opinion/way of doing things is the only valid one.

I think it's just used for emphasis, recognising that not everyone will feel the same.
