Why is everyone saying this? It's WIGGLE ROOM, people!

That's all.

I thought it was wriggle room .
But i guess it's fairly interchangeable
My toes have wiggle / wriggle room in my boots

@MountUnpleasant the one that's driving me insane is how all of a sudden nobody seems to know the difference between lose and loose. Constant loosing of things on here recently 🤔

ScottBakula · 26/09/2024 08:48

However I would always say wriggle in bed not wiggle

Violetparis · 26/09/2024 08:49

The loose and lose mix ups annoy me way more than they should 😀. I'm not sure if it's wriggle or wiggle in the OP's context or when people say get a wriggle/wiggle on.

Badburyrings · 26/09/2024 08:50

I’ve always thought it was get a wriggle on.. 🤷‍♀️

Yes, it's:

Get a wriggle on.

Wiggle room.

Also, do you know you're in Pedants' Corner? Why are you putting a space before and after a forward slash? 🤦🏼‍♀️

I know this is Pedants’ Corner but why does this particularly bother you? Wiggle and wriggle are SUCH similar words and their meaning is very similar.

How do you know it’s wiggle room?

The one that I always really have to think about it wandering vs. wondering. I know the difference but I have to think hard each time I use those words. But that’s very different, those are completely different words with different meanings and zero overlap. I wouldn’t get worked up over wriggle/ wiggle.
