Probably been done to death in here, but what is the deal with BBC Radio Dj's seemingly all repeatedly saying, 'it's myself, xxxx'?

Has there been some missive from management in an attempt to change acceptable usage of language?

It annoys the shit out of me! Especially one on Radio 1 Dance called Charlie T. "it's myself, Charlie T' is so bloody grating!

I concur but please say "DJs": this is Pedants' Corner where an incorrect apostrophe is a hanging offence.

When I’m PM I shall make it a hanging offence for all citizens, not just those using Mumsnet :)
