I have seen quite a few sentences recently starting with ‘Me and my partner/DH/friend went shopping’ etc. In which era was that taught? Am I wrong to be irritated by it? Who would say ‘Me went shopping’ ?
I had a bog standard education, left school at 15 with few qualifications, but I know the format should be ‘My partner/DH/friend and I went shopping’.
