This is a thread for anything which you were pleased to hear spoken.

Here is mine:
At the end of a round of 'The Great British Bake-off' and I think it was the penultimate one, Noel Fielding was speaking to the contestants. He said' "You all did fanta.....", and I was expecting him to say 'fantastic', but the little honey said, 'fantastically'.

I'm such a liar. It was 'amaz.....' that he said, and just as I was expecting him to say 'amazing' he delighted me by saying 'amazingly'.

Noel obviously knows and uses grammar correctly. I tend to use Pedants' Corner only when I find something wrong!

Someone asked at work the other day, 'May I have...' rather than 'Can I get...' which I found most cheering!

Meanwhile I get intensely irritated by the colleague who constantly sends emails along the lines of: "may you complete the survey to indicate your availability"...
