Exacerbate

I have seen the word ‘exasperate’ used where ‘exacerbate’ should be several times in the last few days (on Facebook especially). I understand why the misunderstanding happens but I would just like a gentle whinge here.

A friend of mine once described a horse as emancipated when she meant emaciated. I think it's quite sweet!
