"Hugely Enjoyable. Great Star Acting at it's Finest" - DAILY STAR

aaaghg

aaaghg

(the last g is the sound of gagging)

In the Culture bit. The last bastion. Sob.

But, separate pedantic question: given that it is a quotation, & presuming that it is an accurate quotation, & presuming further that there are Rules on what & how you can extract from a review ... would you be allowed to make the correction?

Nobody need answer. I just wanted to screech.

It needed a [sic]

I saw the same ad in the Grauniad. I think it must have been churned out by some semi-literate scrote in an agency, and the newspapers are running it without checking.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, All The Words Are Needlessly Capitalised.

Yes, you would be allowed to make a correction. Putting [sic] would be a bit daft, given they are boasting about the Star review.

As for the Star, that's what you get from a proprietor who sacks all the subs on the mysterious grounds that 'they just get in between journalists and readers'. Bloody mad pornographer - it's not even as if his loony business strategy actually works. He's running the papers into the ground.
