I am constitutionally loathe to admit any uncertainty in these matters..

But

"I was wondering whether you had posted my item, as it hasn't yet arrived."

"I was wondering whether you had posted my item, since it hasn't yet arrived."

According to Fowlers', 'since' would have been seen as more correct in ye oldene days, but now either is equally correct.

I was going to to be adventurous, Pol, and go for this season's acid yellow. But they haven't arrived and I am beginning to doubt they ever will.
