Ishue or Isue? Tishue or Tisue?

On the back of the schedule thread - Help a non native speaker

I know a guy who used to feel very 'posh' when saying 'isue' and 'tisue' and he would repeat the 'correct' spelling after ppl used the sh version

I've also heard someone saying 'nurshery' (nursery)

No one gives a fig about those examples in real life. Well, only the most insufferable bore/snob would.

Ishoo and tishoo (and nursery, obviously!).

I'm not sure why but when people use the issyoo/tissyoo pronunciation it irritates the hell out of me - possibly because the only people I seem to come across who use that pronunciation are politicians or extremely posh law firm partners. It (nearly) put me off Jeremy Corbyn entirely when I first heard him say 'issyoo' in a speech 😆
