Too right!
Am at him making such a basic error

Oh, and lol at 'Billy'

stuffitall · 07/02/2008 07:28

so she should be!
(bbc obsessed with less/fewer -- I KNOW [GRIN])

SheikYerbouti · 07/02/2008 07:28

Better then what I saw on GMTV once

A caption saying "Whose the Daddy"

It serves me right for watching GMTV really, which is officially the television version of the Express.

SheikYerbouti · 07/02/2008 07:40

Ooops, just noticed my spelling mistake on my last post (on a pedantry thread as well )

In fact, I have noticed how my typing is exemplary when posting on threads of this nature, but dreadful elsewhere.

Anyway, I am just doing some proof reading and had to share this with you:

"First Saturday's of the months is Jazz Band"

It's symptomatic of our decaying education system. It is part of a pub review article written by someone with a FARKING ENGLISH DEGREE!

Tutter · 07/02/2008 08:09

well, if you will watch gmtv...

It's a habit stemming from a childhood of being forced to watch TV:AM before school.

Plus I like something non-cranial in the morning.

I listen to the Today programme on the way to work though. Have I redeemed myself? [grn]

SheikYerbouti · 07/02/2008 08:12

That's better

Tutter · 07/02/2008 08:15

arf at non-cranial

have a poo - tis more rewarding

But I watch GMTV in an ironic way.

I find the Daily Mail style outrage amusing. Plus I only watch about 10 mins of it in the morning, as I leave the house at 6 15. I then get into my car to listen to the gentle and dulcet tones of James Naughtie et al.

stuffitall · 07/02/2008 14:00

sorry sheikyerbouti

but i've seen this loads of times: "I watch gmtv in an ironic way" and I finally just have to

do have an ironic smile the whole time? are you "wry" about their make-overs? sounds like a very kitch post-modern approach

sorry i am having a giggle at your expense very bad etiquette but meant v v friendlililiy

i share your attitude that's why i turn it off -- and if i do watch it i give in and indulge and totally love it

SheikYerbouti · 07/02/2008 16:38

Indeed, stuffit.

I am a intelligent and highly educated, but this is one brain-drain activity I can't give up. Same with crap books. I love trash lit.

I am going to give up my GMTV habit. But just let me have one more day. Please
