BAD Cbeebies Gormless Andy

On CBeebies this morning ( yes, I do dump my toddler in front of the TV while I get ready for work!) Andy was talking to Handrew, a gloved hand.

Gormless Andy: "Handrew, was you trying to steal my award?"
Handrew wags finger in denial
GA: "You wasn't?"
Gormless Andy turns away as Handrew trys to steal whatever it was again.
GA: "Handrew! You WAS trying to steal it!"

And so the shame continued....

Now I was never hoping that these programmes were educational, I'm not daft, but surely this is a bit much? To his credit, it was very clear so his speech is excellent, not such a bonus in this case though!

I give up. If the Beeb can't get these things right!

I hope you have complained.

BTW, the programmes - even the links between programmes - ARE supposed to be educational. I thought that was the WHOLE point of children's TV - education through entertainment.

I haven't complained, I should but I don't have a landline or email at home so I'd have to do it at work. There never seems to be a good time for my boss to hear me make that call!

Even with these errors proving his lack of gorm, I still don't despise him as much as I despise Poi and Chris. Especially Chris, the girly-voiced wetsack.
