Re-posting this in parenting as I didn't get any response on the Education board. Fyi I'm a prospective parent but interested to hear from parents or teachers.
Wondering if anyone has experience of primary schools in this trust and what they are like? They seem to be get good results but they have a reputation of being hugely pushy re phonics and every time I look at their website I get annoyed (wtf does it even mean to "have the opportunity to make reputable choices"? It almost feels like they are pitching themselves as rescuing the children of the underclass by drumming the 3 rs into them and thereby saving them from a life on the dole/in jail).
I think the head of the trust is a serving Ofsted inspector which I also find a bit weird.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
