Sign outside school

I walk past a junior school quite regularly and this sign always annoys me. I feel that a school should know better!

Indeed, most dogs cannot read so this is totally wasted on them. Also, there should be a line through the image of the dog moving away from the poop.

.... and yes, an apostrophe is required.

Hopefully no teacher commissioned this sign. Better that it came from local council.

But, I cannot see how the sign is going to prevent dog fouling. Surely, the sign should be indicating that it is mandatory to scoop the poop otherwise a fine will be imposed.

And, now, I'm quite worried that you are going to pick apart my response to your post for grammar and syntax. Let me start, I shouldn't be starting or finishing a sentence with neither ...but nor and!

This is outside a local school and it bothers me every time I see it - maybe they can give their extra apostrophe to your school!
