"A plethora of services is available" sounds weird, but it can't be "plethora of services are available", surely? Help! Or does anyone have a suitably dramatic alternative way of saying 'there are loads and loads and loads of services available'.

Yours in hope.

Myriad of services are available
Multiple services are available
Numerous agencies offer services
Range of providers are available

Context is everything what’s the document?

Abundance of services
Cornucopia of services
Wealth of services

Nothing wrong with your first sentence, though.

‘Plethora’ is a noun, so you would use ‘is available’ rather than ‘are available’.

"plethora" isn't totally positive, so if you're trying to sell something, I'd use one of the words others have suggested.
The campaign for plain English would ask what's wrong with "Many".
