As in Dictionary Corner - she posts unusual archaic or extinct words, some of which are really due a revival

"goshbustified" - excessively pleased

"absquatulate" - to leave in a hurry

"dumfungled" - exhausted and all used up

and one for all too many people on SM:

"philodox" - one who is in love with their own opinion and who consequently believes everyone should share it

I love all her tweets - the words and meanings she finds and shares are absolutely brilliant, and always bring a smile to my face.

And she's very perceptive at picking out uncannily relevant-to-the-day ones too.

Philodox is a word that should definitely be used more.

How about 'dowfart' - someone who is feeble, idle, and entirely ineffectual. A potentially very useful word!!

I happened to be reading an article about Susie recently, and I was convinced the writer had put the wrong age! Susie is 56yrs old, but I still think of her as being in her early to mid 40s . She definitely looks younger than 56yrs old.

Today's word is 'throttlebottom' - an inept, bumbling and possibly embarrassing holder of public office
