WomAn and WomEn confusion.

Why is this increasing?

Didn't post in Chat or AIBU because I didn't want the minority with learning difficulties or dyslexia to take it the wrong way but if not why?

Plural and singular nouns we learn at Primary School (like potato/potatoes), basic, basic stuff and this is a predominantly female forum.

If you can't see WOMAN spelt correctly on MN, where can you?

Are you talking about spelling? Only if you say the word 'woman' and hear the schwa, 9 times out of 10 it would spelt with an 'e'. Not saying it's right and haven't seen it myself but just a suggestion.

Only spelling where it's repeated, not a typo. TBF I've seen it elsewhere on social, now encroaching onto MN. May be a case of people seeing it elsewhere believing it to be correct.

No one seems to be mixing 'man' and 'men' up however, course not.
