Anyone got any good complete inaccuracies that have made it into tv/film?

I've got two examples from kids shows;
1, Octonaughts, they always describe things as 'poisonous' when they mean venomous.

2, and this one is epic, All hail King Julian has dolphins breathing water. I'm not bothered at all that these dolphins talk and fly about with jet packs, but the fact that they're wearing helmets full of water to do so annoys the hell out of me Grin
Oh, also there's a Johnathan Creek episode with a fake alien corpse made of frozen mercury, which 'vanishes' by melting and running into the plinth it was sitting on. Surely someone would notice that the apparently empty box still weighs an absolute ton?
I can't think of any more right now but I'm sure there's loads.

Is it possible that they use poisonous because it's easier for children to understand?

Oh you're probably right, and don't get me wrong I love octonaughts. But I do point it out to dd whenever it comes up. I'm an annoying mum, aren't I? Grin

What's the point in teaching children things if they're wrong though?
