Colder sack!?

Saw this on our local Facebook page recently. Person was advertising their property for sale and was explaining that the area was quiet as the house was in a colder sack! Couldn't resist replying with a correction to cul de sac.

Don't people ever wonder about the origins of some of the phrases they use? Have they never asked themselves why a road would be called a colder sack? That would puzzle me until I discovered the reason (or the correct phrase).
I came across 'air on the side of caution' today and no, it wasn't in the context of making sure your washing is really dry.
I don't want to sound like a grumpy pedant, but I'm afraid I can't deny my true nature!

You see so many of these weird mistakes online and most of them make no sense.

Many of them really annoy me but I can't help having a soft spot for 'doggy dog world'.
