"Our advice is unique to you, delivered by qualified experts, who will take the time to understand your needs."

Am I correct in thinking that there doesn't need to be a comma after the word "experts"?

I am thinking of applying for a proofreading job but it's been a while since I studied grammar so I wasn't sure whether I'm on the right track.

I've just spotted there's a typo in my thread title sigh

I agree that the second comma is unnecessary.

LunaNorth · 11/09/2020 19:53

I might use a semi-colon after ‘you’.

LunaNorth · 11/09/2020 19:54

And get rid of the second comma.

redcarbluecar · 11/09/2020 19:56

Yep, agree that you don't need the second comma. I don't think I'd use a semi colon after you.

KenDodd · 11/09/2020 19:56

I'm not sure proofreading is the career for you tbh.

dudsville · 11/09/2020 19:57

I agree with LunaNorth. The dark art of semi-colon use is long lost.

Danglingmod · 11/09/2020 20:00

A semi-colon would not be correct; the two clauses you'd be separating are not independent clauses (the second one is a subordinate clause).

OP - the second comma is not needed; you're right.

Raera · 11/09/2020 20:01

No commas at all.
Insert AND after you.
Not in capitals though!

INeedaTempUserName · 11/09/2020 20:04

@kendodd is that because I made a typo myself or because of the way I worded my post?

OP posts:
olivo · 11/09/2020 20:14

No need for second comma.

daisypond · 11/09/2020 20:17

The second comma is wrong.

CeliaCanth · 11/09/2020 20:25

Agree, no need for second comma.
A semi-colon wouldn’t work to replace the first. However, I’d be tempted to delete it and replace with “and is”.
