I’ve been much less bothered by alot since I employed the great tool about thinking of it as a creature and not a horrid word smush. It’s from this comic. I find alot rather cheering now.

My two examples pale into insignificance compared to the mangling of language on our local FB page.

My son used to say, "A very lot", when he was little.

Also ‘eachother’.

Caught myself using maybe instead of may be. A lot of it is caused by predictive text and spellchecking. I despair at those who struggle to breath and wear cloths.
