“"I will always have the utmost respect for my grandmother, my commander in chief, and I am incredibly grateful to her and the rest of my family for the support they have shown Meghan and I over the last few months.”

What the hell, Harry’s speechwriter?! “They have shown Megan and I?” Have they never heard the rule ... remove one of the the names and does it still make sense?

Which is why this bit made me twitch, too:

"The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back"

It's hypercorrection, I think caused by people remembering their parents correcting them when they said things like "X and me are".

I heard Prince William say something similar a while ago.
Standards must have slipped at Eton.

I suspected the lack of a speechwriter when I heard Harry make the same mistake twice...unless it was Prince William Grin

I was surprised at this too. And I think I have heard William making the same mistake also.

Ooh, I dislike also at the end of a sentence.
