The full wording and (lack of!) punctuation, as printed on very smart, expensive-looking sign:

I think you still have grounds for annoyance as their lack of punctuation has caused ambiguity. You could actually visit and when challenged explain that you didn't bring car so what's the problem. Whoever lives there sounds like miserable lonely old bugger.

Personally, I find the Weird Capitalising of The First Letter of the Words even more grating.
