This has probably cropped up before, but I have increasingly noticed that people seem to drop the space between ‘a’ and the following word (particularly if short). So a bit becomes abit, a lot becomes alot. Can’t think of other examples, but sure there are. Just not sure where it seems to be coming from?

I haven't seen this but they are obviously trailblazers! My English teacher used to tell me off for writing alright instead of all right - but it's acceptable now (I think!)
