So I'm being organised and ordering some Christmas presents! They are candle holders with a sign, "Christmas at the Smiths" does the apostrophe go after the end of the name, "Smiths' " or before the s, "Smith's". Thanks in advance!

Thank you! That was my thought but the website has it before the "s", I'll have to make my wishes clear!!

I'm not sure if it needs an apostrophe....

Heratnumber7 · 03/09/2017 08:47

Yes it does glittery. The word "house" is implied.
"Christmas at the Smiths' house"

"Christmas WITH the Smiths" wouldn't need an apostrophe.
