Yep!

5OBalesofHay · 23/12/2016 23:45

Depends what time you have it

JenLindleyShitMom · 24/12/2016 00:02

Nope, it's always Christmas dinner. Even if you have it at midday. Before midday would be breakfast and it's illegal to eat roast potatoes before midday on Christmas Day Wink

Katisha · 24/12/2016 00:15

YANBU. Totally agree OP

Katisha · 24/12/2016 00:18

Also, I'm not keen on Santa when it should be Father Christmas. Bah.

HardcoreLadyType · 24/12/2016 00:18

Yes, it is.

Lunch is a light meal, and Christmas dinner is anything but light.

Dinner is the main meal of the day, whenever it is eaten.

limon · 24/12/2016 08:49

Oh thank goodness. I feel like I have found my tribeGrin

Totally disagree. Lunch is eaten between 12-2 regardless of how big it is. If it's a light lunch it's called a light lunch. Dinner is a more formal evening meal.

We're having Christmas lunch at 1pm tomorrow. We're going out for Christmas Eve dinner at 6 tonight.

Artandco · 24/12/2016 09:35

It's dinner, lunch is between 12-2 ish.

We have Christmas dinner around 7pm

Lovelilies · 24/12/2016 18:52

Christmas lunch just sounds like you're trying to be posh!

SenecaFalls · 25/12/2016 18:02

I think this calling it lunch is a British thing. In the US it's dinner no matter what time it's eaten. Ours is usually 2-3 in the afternoon.

CHJR · 01/06/2017 19:48

It's Christmas dinner. Just like it's wedding breakfast even if you have it at 8 p.m.?
