Why would you publish a book without getting it proof read? I'd like to buy my child a book which has fantastic illustrationservice and a subject matter that is very important to us. The book has just been released on Amazon and has several mistakes on the blurb! There's no hope for the actual content is there? Wibu to buy it and correct all the mistakes so my child isn't exposed to them?

Interesting autocorrect there. New phone and currently in bed with a sickness bug.

Oh dear. I have no idea. But maybe the author did get the book proofread, just not the blurb??

I hate things like that - gives you no faith in the subject matter! I regularly get the urge to offer to proof read the metro!

Blurbs are sometimes written by someone else (I have been paid to write a blurb based on a precis of the book!). No excuse, I know, but it could've slipped through.

And no, YANBU to correct them. I do it all the time even in library books
