Could have...
Should have...
Would have...

I know it has been said before and I also realise it is not the most important thing in the world, but heck this is Pedants corner so I am hoping I am amongst the equally annoyed.

Make it your one woman mission to never say should've, could've, etc.

If more people spoke in a way that didn't shorten, it would help this particular issue.

This is a problem of mishearing.

This drives me absolutely insane!!!
I see it all the time on Facebook even with people that revived a decent education.

Dizzybintess · 30/09/2016 15:44

Received not revived .... Bloody autocorrect.

prettypidgeon · 30/09/2016 15:56

Haha I didn't realise I was saying it wrong until my boyfriend asked me to repeat myself one day Blush i write it properly but always say it wrong.

lifeistooshort · 30/09/2016 15:59

Another one we're/ were, there/ their. It's really not that hard.

It might be quite hard for someone with learning difficulties, like my son.

Topseyt · 01/10/2016 18:47

I am another. Would OF, could OF, should OF are very high on my list of pet hates. They are not even phrases.

It is HAVE.
