Poor 'twice'.

Does anyone know why 'twice' has been banished to the naughty corner?

Every advert on telly now is, two times this, two times that. Drives me potty every time. Where has poor twice gone?

It went to join 'thrice'.

I thought that before when listening to an advert.

American expression, taken over the pond?

American influence maybe?

I still say twice and thrice.

I still use 'twice'. I'm not sure I'd be able to use 'thrice' with a straight face, but I might give it a go.
