This means it isn't moving. Stationery is something very different. Incorrect spelling sent to me by an English teacher tonight. Also I drive by a shop that sells 'Newspapers, Tobacco and Confectionary'. The shop owners must have paid good money for this sign. Just Grrrr!

E is for envelope. That's how I remember the stationery / stationary difference.

E for envelope!

Thank you both. I know the spelling but why does a sign writer not check it and an English teacher fall foul?

Because they hate us?

I drive past a shop which sells stationary. It's true. It's always in the same place.

elephantoverthehill · 12/04/2016 23:41

It's comforting to know that it will always be in the same place, but what does the shop sell?

I also had a major meltdown today at a sign that advertised 'Janes Secret Garden' which said 'dog's allowed'.
A bit sad but I was v proud that 12 yo Ds pointed it out!

elephantoverthehill · 12/04/2016 23:46

I think DS should get a medal from Nicky Morgan and get that put into the Y6 Sats test.
