I read it on a thread a few weeks ago and didn't really understand what the poster meant. Now it's on every thread.
Super happy
super fun
super easy
Is this a new thing?

'Super yummy' makes me want to peel my own feet & dance in lemon juice.

Theimpossiblegirl · 06/02/2016 18:30

I called someone's baby super cute on the make-up thread so it's probably my fault. But she was cuter than average with her HD brows.

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2016 18:34

Ah so it's all your fault? :o so out of curiosity when did you start saying super rather than another word such as very, extremely or highly?

Glossing over the baby with the hd brows

I believe super will soon be superseded by the word uber. Über cool. Uber fun. Uber tasty.

Theimpossiblegirl · 06/02/2016 21:22

Bugger, I have also been known to use uber. This is not a new thing. I get quite enthusiastic about things. Sometimes usually it is when I have had wine or gin. I don't want to shoulder the blame for the whole super/uber trend on my own though...

ceeveebee · 06/02/2016 21:28

I called Next customer services the other day. Their recorded message informed me that they were "super busy" and would answer my call as soon as they could...bleurgh!

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 06/02/2016 21:32

I have been saying "super" for ages, but I have a Resting Sarcasm Tone like a vocal Resting Bitch Face, so no one ever believes me

;)

It's from pinterest I think. Super cute- super fun - super healthy, they are all super pinworthy

2tired2bewitty · 06/02/2016 21:48

Everything on the last series of Australian Masterchef was "super tasty" or "super delicious", it was super dooper annoying by the end of the show.

SwedishEdith · 10/02/2016 23:31

I think super is more recent than uber.

On a similar note, all good-looking women are now "stunning".

Theimpossiblegirl · 11/02/2016 08:53

In my teenage years (90s) people were either stunning or minging. Most effective if said in a Welsh accent. Lush was also used to describe pretty much anything (apart from actual greenery).

FlysInDreams · 11/02/2016 09:43

I thought everything was described as "stylish" these days.

StealthPolarBear · 25/02/2016 18:51

Did anyone listen to the radio 2 confession
she super rolled her eyes because she was super sulky.
Surely these people didn't speak this way two years ago? What changed?
