Have just seen a "three tear cake stand" for sale on facebook.

Made with genuine baby tears?

AuntieStella · 11/12/2015 07:48

A baby's tear, a princess's tear and a unicorn's tear?

Dungandbother · 11/12/2015 07:51

DD spellings this week Yr4

Accept and except
Affect and effect
Rain and reign
Not and knot
And about 8 more homophones.

As a pedant myself we have spent a long time discussing this week!

Will sneak the tear tier one in as extra practice

I give you "Xmas reefs" for sale near here

AuntieStella · 11/12/2015 08:11

What does dictation software do when it hears a homonym, btw?

Give a choice of possibles? Or just stick in the one it fancies?

StealthPolarBear · 11/12/2015 08:15

Love Xmas reefs.

Safety announcement on a ryanair flight today:
There is a callgirl and oxygen mask on the compartment above your head.

Jinsky · 12/12/2015 18:16

I of course meant 'in' and not 'on' the compartment

I know they try to increase their revenue through extras, but that's getting ridiculous.

I am still losing the fight between stationary and stationery. A stationary drawer is one that can not be opened. A stationery drawer contains pencils, paper etc. Every year I feel the need to explain this.
