Queuing or Queueing? Or can you use both?

I can't seem to find a firm answer anywhere

I think queuing is the preferred but both are acceptable (a bit like yogurt/yoghurt)

I think queueing. If I try to type queuing my phone accepts it, but I think it looks weird.

I'm thinking that we tend only to drop the e if it's doing a magic e job, and the i takes over. Here it's an orthographical anomaly so doesn't have to go.

I agree that losing the e makes it look weird, but that's just personal taste.

Going off at a tangent, I wonder if there is any other word in English with five vowels in a row?

It says that "almost" is the longest commonly used word with all its letters in alphabetical order. I can think of two other 6-letter words that have this property, one beginning with b (common), one with c (not so common).

Well done. The other word is chintz (got that from a Stephen Fry book twenty years ago and I've carried it around in my head ever since - I have a feeling that he had another one for 'b' but I can't remember it).
